At BTI performances, we want you to feel comfortable! For most ballet performances, acceptable attire is usually business casual, but come as you feel most yourself.

BTI is a professional company consisting of adults over the age of 18. Currently BTI does not have an academy, so students are not part of BTI unless certain circumstances (i.e. the Nutcracker).

“Where can I park for BTI performances?”
BTI performs at two venues: The Tarkington in downtown Carmel, and The Athenaeum in downtown Indianapolis. The Tarkington has an attached free parking garage available to patrons, and downtown Carmel has plenty of parking garages and lots walking distance from the theatre. The Athenaeum has multiple metered parking spots around the vicinity of the theatre.

“How early should I arrive for a performance?”
You can arrive about 20-30 minutes before a performance to allow enough time to find parking, find your seat, visit the restroom, and purchase any refreshments before the performance begins.

“How do I get tickets for a BTI performance?”
Tickets are available through BTI’s website and each respectable theatres’ websites. On the BTI page, visit either the ‘Performances’ link and each ticketing link will be next to each performance, or the ‘Ticket’ page where you can click on links for each performance.

“What’s the difference between a full-length ballet and a mixed rep program?”
A full-length ballet is a classical show made up of 2-4 acts and usually follows a singular storyline, whereas a mixed rep program is made up for multiple smaller pieces of varying styles that don’t have to have a storyline and don’t have to relate to each other.
