Ballet Theatre of Indiana
Ballet Theatre of Indiana is a professional ballet company serving central Indiana. Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Stirling and Sabrina Matheson, BTI’s main goal is to bring dance to all and help destroy the exclusivity barrier in the ballet world. We do so by offering subsidized tickets, outreach performances and opportunities to local libraries and schools, creating dance films, and performing ballets based on familiar stories that interest both a ballet-lover and someone who is completely new to ballet. Our four performances each season pull from classical technique but with our own special twist, from our jazzy Nutcracker to our neo-classical and contemporary mixed rep performances. We have a strong connection with our greater-Indianapolis communities, and are proud to call ourselves a local company. Most of all, BTI is family, and is happy to share our talents with you! We’re so excited to begin our 6th season!
Ballet Theatre of Indiana is a division of Central Indiana Performing Arts Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable art spaces using an innovative new real estate based business model.
